Next culture night: East Africa Nov 21 2024​

Sunalta is home to a vibrant and diverse community of people from all walks of life. In 2024 we chose to start celebrating this fact with more intention by hosting a community Iftar event!​

Goal: To host meaningful cultural programs created by our community, for our community!

​

After reviewing census data, we learned that 30% of our residents are newcomers and 27% of that are refugees. The largest community of newcomers come from Ethiopia and Eritrea respectively, and China. 

​

In November 2024 we will be hosting a Multicultural Event open to all with a focus on East African communities. 

​

In January, 2025 we will host a Chinese New Year Celebration.
